NA Designs is an architectural and interior deisgn firm, co-handled by design partners Ajay hemmady and Nakul vengsarkar.
The firm holds its forte in being design centric. Every project is dealt with the merits on site with a separate design consious approach toward each project. Attention to detail but with a principle of at timeless design is a dictum followed.
The firm is involved with varios projects across the spectrum from residential re-developments to high rises, master-planning for gated communities to bespoke home interiors. The mission of the design that germinates as a thought must culminate into spatial organisation that stems from form, function, quality and need. This mantra is what drives all our projects to be delivered with overall success of the harmony between requirements and design.
Our office in the recent past has also been involved in international collaborations leaning on green design from a consious environ perspective. The right implimentation of this study will not only improve the design factor but also enrich and upgrade lifestyles of the end user in the process.

NAKUL VENGSARKAR, DIRECTOR AND JOINT HEAD DESIGNER AT NAD. GRADUATED FROM THE ACADEMY OF ARCHITECTURE, RACHANA SANSAD MUMBAI AND MASTERS IN LIVING AND INTERIOR DESIGN AT DOMUS ACADEMY, MILAN, ITALY.
NAKUL HAS SINCE THEN DESIGNED HIGH-END LUXURY VILLAS, APARTMENTS AND OFFICES, ECO FRIENDLY BOUTIQUE HOTELS, REDEVELOPMENT RESIDENTIAL TOWERS, SPIRITUAL RETREATS, AMONGST A FEW DESIGN COMPETITION PROJECTS LIKE PALACE IN AFRICA, CLUSTER HOUSING AND SUSTAINABLE STRUCTURES FOR THE ARMED FORCES OF INDIA AS WELL.
NAKUL HAS SPENT A YEAR PURSUING HIS MASTERS IN LIVING AND INTERIOR DESIGN FROM THE PRESTIGIOUS DOMUS ACADEMY IN MILAN, ITALY. THE YEAR SPENT AT DOMUS, FINE TUNED NAKULS SKILL SET OF VARIOUS ASPECTS IN DESIGN SUCH AS LIGHTING, LANDSCAPE, FURNITURE, PRODUCT, ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIORS. MILAN BEING A MECCA FOR DESIGNERS, RENOWNED ARCHITECTS AND INTERIOR DESIGNERS USED TO FREQUENT EITHER DURING THE FAIRS OR CITY EVENTS. NAKUL SEIZED THIS OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH THE BEST IN THE FIELD.
CURRENT INVOLVEMENT IS IN A WIDE RANGE OF PROJECTS FROM MASTER PLANNING LAYOUTS, PRIVATE RESIDENCES FOR ELITE CLIENTS, AND LUXURY BESPOKE INTERIORS. HIS QUALITY OF DESIGN SENSIBILITY AND DETAILING IS SOMETHING THAT SETS HIM ASIDE FROM THE COMPETITION TO DELIVER A PRODUCT WITH A STRONG SENSE OF AESTHETIC APPEAL.
HAVING BEEN EDUCATED IN MUMBAI AND ITALY, IT HAS GIVEN HIM A WIDER SENSE OF DESIGN AND PLANNING OWING TO HIS EXPOSURE TO VARIOUS STYLES OF ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIORS. HIS EXPOSURE TO THE SAME HOLDS HIM IN GOOD STEAD THROUGH HIS DESIGN COLLABORATIONS.
AJAY HEMMADY

Ajay hemmady shares his responsibility with the firm - na designs as joint head of architectural and interior design. He commenced his career as an architect and went on to becoming a senior associate with one of indias leading design firms.
Standing today, he has 14 years of experience with him as an architect and has worked on a wide range of projects in mumbai, alibag, pune, hyderabad, delhi and oman. In his association with the firm, Ajay has designed and executed a wide range of residential, corporate and mixed use projects. Having been educated in mumbai which itself is a melting pot of various social threads his designs reflect the cultural consciousness of the site at hand.
His earlier professional experience part of an international joint venture in oman in an effort to transform 4 million sq. Ft the designs reflect sensitivity to the place in cultural context with versatile solutions. Currently he is involved in projects varying from high rise residential developments to gated communities that lay emphasis on a more climate responsive and green design to pioneer designs that hinge on energy efficiency and a holistic design approach.
Client centric and practical designs that reflect a strong aesthetic appeal is a pre-requisite to every project. Planning and site design is his forte where the site as a whole should equally reflect the design consiousness of a single user as his perception is that a multi user site must be design effective to optimise the efficiency and hence the design itself creates a guideline that sets the user in line – since the quality of the site design can change the quality of life.
His interest in business development integral to his architectural designing has led to fruitful partnerships with all of his clients.
